Jealousy

"You shall judge a man by his foes as well as by his friends." by Joseph Conrad.

Sometimes or in most cases, I think I am not smart. I created a new term MDD, mentality deficiency disorder. It sounds like a term in psychology, but actually I made it up.

Since I moved back to the States, I began with nothing, I work hard, and I have something. Something invisible but people can feel it - "Muscle Brain."

I resigned from my former job, which I think I am too slow, probably I am MDD, I should have made this decision earlier. Most of the people in this company has a very narrow mind. They believe the company philosophy which I think is good, but up to a point it seems they are blind folded and continue to follow without looking around what's going on with the world.

They believe "one size fits all", they believe their method "every child could benefit." It sounds like those magic wand in Harry Potter's book.

Everybody knows this is not the case. At least I can definitely show the world, how I turn myself from a straight "Fs" student to now I am a "doctoral learner." I do not consider as a success yet, because I am still working on it, but this is definitely a milestone for me - failure to an achiever.

I still remember those were the days, my former co-workers always like to say "I can see your potentials." Up to a point, I felt sick and tired with all those "potentials" feedback, I always asked them "Can we talk about action plan? What is our first step?"

I understand why people enjoy doing education business because there is always a market. Kids represent hope, opportunity, energy, creativity, and also "money."

How many company in our nation really doing education business which they are offering reasonable fees and quality of learning? The company that I worked before focused on self-learning, which I think is "great" but there is no skills and methods to share in developing self-learning skills and correcting study habit.

Everyone of us have certain degree of laziness, unwillingness or tendency to be a procrastinator. A person success relies on his/her personality. Some people they born with motivation and curiosity, they show great interest in learning, some needs external stimuli to develop their skills.

As an educator, we need to use a productive and effective methods to explore students' potential. Explore their mind, communicate with them, study them and make them shine.

I have been working with different education agencies, colleges, universities, and corporations. I prefer to work in college or universities, they do not talk about degrees, because most people have one, two or three in different levels. Their brain wave and form of thinking are more open. Yes, they may not know much about the outside world, but at least they respect people with more knowledge and all the hard work from the "BOTTOM OF THEIR HEART."
