Reading Therapy

I'm not sure whether this is a therapy that is widely used in the field of psychology, I guess not. But this is definitely something for myself. Since I resigned from my former job, I couldn't strike a balance between the effort that I had put in and the two extreme outcomes. So, I came up with several different therapies to strengthen my beliefs and eliminate all the negatives energy around me.

One of the therapies which I think is the most effective so far is the Reading therapy. I have been visiting bookstore for weeks, spending hours to read different type of books. You might curious what books that I am reading, right? Well! Not self-help book, but books about big companies. I read about Toyota, Starbucks, Walmart, Wikinomics, and I still have more on my reading list. Why all these books, not the self-help books? I have been reading self-help, self-improvement books for more than ten years, I need to bring in a different incentive, different approach and perspective which allows me to think outside and see away from the box.

After almost forty years of life, I realized the truth of life is the attitude in dealing with different matters. I know my boundaries and limitations. Sometimes, I really could not do anymore, I chose to walk away without any regret. In most cases, I continue to move forward.

My personal values has been changed since 2001. I truly understand what life means. Life is too short, and we only live once, so we have to make it shines. I was pretty materialistic during my 20s' and I was getting tons of attention when I was in school. Now, these are not what I want, i just need to find one person really cares about me and always stand by my side. I guess it's all depend on luck.

My mom taught me one thing, "Always prepare yourself for tomorrow, work hard everyday and you will see when opportunity arrives." Great! Because of this, I look like a giraffe now cos' I keep stretching my neck to seek for opportunities...

Reading therapy can really help me to refocus and adjust my point of view.

" Do not let others with limited vision bother us, we need to see beyond the horizon and keep going.... "
